Background
TCN is a System Integrator operating in Albania, Kosova and NATO bases in European countries, operating in the Air Traffic Control, Airport, Defense and IT domains. In this context TCN shall employ 2 (two) Full-time and 1 (one) Part-time Communication and Information System (CIS) Support Specialist able to perform independently and efficiently the given duties in an international environment.

Position: Communication and Information System (CIS) Support Specialist
Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and certified Communication and Information System (CIS) Support Specialist to join our team at the NATO base in, Kosovo. The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for the management, maintenance, and support of the telephony system (PABX) and telephony gateway, with a particular focus on the KFOR KPN system. This role requires a strong background in telecommunications, as well as expertise in Cisco Collaboration technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Telephony System Management:
- Oversee the daily operations and management of the PABX system, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Maintain and monitor the telephony gateway, ensuring seamless integration with the KFOR KPN system.
- Perform routine checks, updates, and patches on telephony systems to ensure optimal functionality and security.
- Support and Maintenance:
- Provide first-line support for all telephony-related issues, including troubleshooting, diagnostics, and resolution.
- Collaborate with network teams to ensure the telephony systems are integrated smoothly within the broader CIS infrastructure.
- Coordinate with external vendors and service providers for system upgrades, maintenance, and support contracts.
- System Integration and Configuration:
- Configure and manage Cisco telephony systems, including Call Manager, Unity Connection, and other related components.
- Implement and maintain call routing, dial plans, and other essential configurations within the telephony system.
- Ensure compliance with NATO and KFOR communication protocols and standards.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, maintenance activities, and incident reports.
- Prepare and present regular reports on system performance, incidents, and planned upgrades to management.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Telecommunications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Certifications:
- Cisco CCNP Collaboration Certification is required (must have passed Cisco exams 350-801 CLCOR & 300-815 CLACCM), or
- Cisco CCNA Collaboration Certification, is required (must have passed Cisco exams 210-060 CICD & 210-065 CIVND)
Note: TCN will support financially the exam costs for applicants, that don’t currently have these certifications, to take prior to January 1st 2025.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in telephony system management and support, preferably within a military or government environment.
- Proven experience in managing Cisco Unified Communications solutions, including Call Manager and Unity Connection.
- Familiarity with NATO communication protocols and KFOR telephony systems is highly desirable.
- Technical Skills:
- Expertise in PABX system management and telephony gateway configuration.
- Strong knowledge of Cisco Collaboration technologies, including troubleshooting and maintenance.
- Proficiency in network and communication system integration.
- Other Requirements:
- Ability to work in a high-security environment with strict adherence to confidentiality and security protocols.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
- NATO Secret Clearance is required for the positions. TCN will procure it.
